• Perform system administration duties for software systems implemented to support the daily activities of PKC
• Assist in the management of PKC’s virtualized environment
• Assist in the management of PKC’s storage area networks
• Provide technical support to clients relating to preparation, installation, integration and use of Problem Knowledge Couplers for the Web. This could include pre-sale and/or pre-installation network and system consulting, installation and configuration consulting, sample or production application development, and integration or development troubleshooting
• Assist in the management of the client accessible “Production Server Environment(s),” currently co-located offsite
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new hardware and software to meet the needs of the organization
• Develop tools and applications to enhance the work done by other departments within PKC
• Minor travel as required
• Other responsibilities, tasks, and projects as assigned

• Experience with Windows Server Environments and Web Servers (particularly IIS)
• Experience with VMWare infrastructure and server products
• Strong knowledge of web development tools and languages (HTML, Java, ASP)
• Experience with Windows development environments (VB, C++, C#) and tools (Visual Studio)
• Knowledge of other virtualization environments
• Knowledge of system management tools
• Knowledge of virtualization management tools
• Solid understanding of cloud computing
• Demonstrated customer support skills
• .Net experience a plus

Degree in Computer Science or related subject (or equivalent experience) and 4 or more years experience in a System Administrator position
